Mapping channels in 3D Max hold information about texture mapping, vertex color, alpha and illumination. Mesh objects also have geometry and vertex selection channels. In this chapter we will explore them using channel info utility and uvw mapping. We will also cover the vertex selection information that is stored in the channels. Open lady.max.
