In this tutorial we will learn how to quickly build a mushroom shape. The steps can be further simplified, however our main goal is to have a nice flexible mushroom object.
We will start off with a nice sphere in the perspective view (parameters: Radius: 60, Segments: 48). Hit Z to zoom extents all.
Add a Taper modifier to the sphere (parameters: Amount: 4, Curve: -0.5, Limit Effect: ON, Upper Limit: 10, Lower Limit: -15). The shape is already starting to look like a mushroom. That was so easy! Now onto refining...
