Blood Dripping Tutorial - 3D Studio Max

 by Arxwn

In this tutorial I'll show you how to make meshes to drip blood!

The main concept is that we begin with a mesh ,use it  to create particles on it , select some of that particles to create the drip effect and give them that blob like look !

We first create a text object !

We then extrude this to our fitting!

We don't need to render the text mesh because we will only use it as a shell !
So make the mesh not renderable!

Next we rotate the text so it will face us and then we create a PFlow ,a gravity force and a drag force!
Give the gravity force a 0.4 strength and the drag a 5% on all axis !

Open the PFlow view! You will make something like this!

After this go to frame 40-50 and you should have something like this!

Now go to Compound objects menu and create a blob mesh!
Select modify menu and give it the following values !

Voila should have the final result !

For any questions go to our forums and we will respond as soon as possible !

From what I can see in the tutorial , the only way to get a result like the one you discribed is to misread the values in the evaluation coarseness ! It is : render 0.8 and viewport 2 !
If your particle system is correct then this should be the answer !

Check it and tell my your problem persists !

you create the PFlow from the Geomtry use the drop down menu Parical systems from the P systems use the PF sourse create it in the P. view under name it has the P.view click that box. and it will bring up the the box, next is adding the gravity and a drag force. thats in the space wraps. thats about it
